We PRAY
Prayer is our language.
Prayer isn’t an obligation of God’s people but an opportunity to relax into God’s goodness. It isn’t something that we strive for but something that allows us to experience and connect with power and presence of God. We encourage every member of A2 to pray:
Individually
Develop a daily rhythm of prayer. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17)
Corporately
Join us for weekly prayer:
• In Person – Wednesday morning 6-7 AM, Sunday Morning 8:45-9:15 AM
• Online – Wednesday Morning 6-6:30 AM
Prayer Request
If you fill out a prayer request on the Connect Card you will be
prayed over by the staff, elders and A2 Prayer Team and all requests will remain
confidential.
We SERVE
WE SERVE BECAUSE HE FIRST SERVED US. (Matthew 20:28)
We encourage every member of A2 to develop a monthly rhythm of service. This fills the needs of the church but also grows your faith as use the gifts that God has given you. We have opportunities to serve A2 by scanning the QR code below.
Serve with one of our local mission partners:
Empowered to Conquer provides ministry to at risk students in Alabama.
Grace Klein Community provides food and benevolence throughout Birmingham.
We GIVE
we give because Christ gave it all. (2 Cor. 8:1-5)
At its core, the act of giving to the local church is an expression of love for God and people. The church exists to glorify God and serve others. When we partner with our local church in giving, we are supporting the leadership, care and love the church provides to the community and to the world. From the very beginning, God has challenged His people to be generous with one another and the worshipping community they are a part of. God blesses us so that we can bless others, and the local church is one way he chooses to do this.
We ask all members of A2 to partner with the ministry of A2 Church by giving as a form of worship to God.
We GROW
we grow individually and corporately experiencing the power and presence of God.
Jesus’s final command was to make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:16-20) To be a disciple of Jesus means to learn about and follow the ways of Jesus. We grow corporately by meeting regularly to worship and study God’s word. We encourage members of A2 to regularly attend in-person worship services to connect with God and others. We grow communally through groups and the ministries of A2 and encourage members to actively participate in the opportunities listed below.
Groups are at the heart of discipleship at A2, and it is our desire for every member to be plugged into community through groups. In groups, you are known, cared for, and loved. We believe real life-change happens in the context of relationships. It’s a diverse group of people who share a common love for Jesus that meet regularly in someone’s home or other meeting place to eat together, laugh together, study the Bible
together, pray together and just do life together. It’s community at its best: authentic relationships grounded in biblical faith. Groups meet each semester for 12 weeks in homes in the Birmingham Metro Area. Scan the QR code below if you are interested in joining a group at A2.
Beloved Women’s Ministry is for women who are discovering the radical saving grace and the love our Father God lavishes upon us. They meet twice a semester for food and fellowship.
Men’s Ministry is designed to create opportunities for encouragement and fellowship for the men at A2. The Men’s ministry host monthly events for the men of A2 Church. Check out the church calendar and social media to learn more.
More + Marriage Ministry is for all the married couples of A2. More + hosts quarterly events, small groups, and a yearly marriage retreat.
Kids Ministry believes in partnering with you to ensure that your child knows they are valued, they are loved, and they are wonderfully made by God. A2kids is creative, high-energy fun. We want it to be your child’s favorite time of the week.
FORGE Student Ministry is a gospel-community for 6-12th grade students to learn about who God is, who they are, and what they were
created by God to do. Every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00 students meet on campus for worship to study God’s Word, connect with students and leaders, have fun, and be prayed over.
Mission Partners A2 supports Local and Global mission partners through financial support and prayer. We are hoping to continue to grow these
relationships to include monthly service and yearly mission trips.
